Agents

Agents let a Knowledge Expert offer a next step from learner chat when the conversation shows clear intent. They do not replace the chat answer. They add a configured call-to-action after an eligible response.

Available Agents

AgentUse It ForDirect Commands
Book consultationOffer a one-to-one expert booking when a learner asks to book, schedule, arrange a call, or needs human support./book, /consult, /consultation
Workshop or event offerOffer a workshop, cohort, bootcamp, event, or other expert-led package when a learner needs implementation help, team training, or paid expert support./workshop, /event, /bootcamp

Where Agents Can Appear

Configured Knowledge Expert agents can appear in:

  • Expert Chat.
  • Course tutor chat.
  • Scenario practice chat.
  • The admin test lab.

The chat surface still answers the learner first. If an enabled agent matches the direct command or configured learner intent, QAVRA shows the agent CTA beneath the chat response.

Set Up An Agent

Open the Knowledge Expert, then go to the agent setup page for that expert.

For each agent:

  1. Choose the coded agent.
  2. Configure the integration link.
  3. Choose direct commands or learner-intent triggers.
  4. Test the setup.
  5. Save and enable the agent.

Only organisation admins can manage Knowledge Expert agents.

Agents open external HTTPS links in a new tab.

Booking agents support:

  • Google Calendar appointment schedule links.
  • Calendly booking links.

Workshop and event offer agents support:

  • HTTPS workshop pages.
  • Event registration pages.
  • Application pages.
  • Checkout or offer pages.

Use a clear CTA label such as Book consultation or Apply for workshop so learners understand what happens next.

Direct And Indirect Triggers

Direct triggers run when the learner sends a supported slash command, such as /book or /workshop.

Indirect triggers run when the learner message or recent transcript matches the enabled intent profile.

Booking intent profiles include:

  • Learner asks to book.
  • Learner is unclear or stuck.
  • A configured specific question or phrase.

Workshop intent profiles include:

  • Implementation risk or complexity.
  • Team training need.
  • Commercial purchase intent.

Use indirect triggers carefully. They should point learners to genuinely useful expert help, not interrupt ordinary learning questions.

Learner Experience

When an agent action is available, learners see a short CTA beneath the assistant response. The CTA opens the configured external page in a new tab.

Agents do not automatically:

  • Book a learner into a calendar slot.
  • Charge a learner.
  • Enrol a learner in a workshop.
  • Change course progress.
  • Replace the tutor, Expert, or scenario chat response.

Those actions happen only on the external booking, offer, or checkout page you configure.

Checks Before Launch

Before enabling agents for learners, confirm:

  • The Knowledge Expert is available to the intended audience.
  • The booking or offer link is correct and uses HTTPS.
  • The CTA label is clear.
  • The enabled trigger profiles match the situations where you want the CTA to appear.
  • The agent test returns the expected CTA.
  • The linked booking, application, event, or checkout page is ready for learners.
