QAVRA separates drafts from learner-ready published versions so admins can review changes before learners receive them.

Key Ideas

Draft is the editable course state. Brainstorming, reviewing, or drafting changes does not affect learners until an admin saves and publishes the right change.

Major publish creates a new course version and rebuilds its learning-delivery work, including version-matched teaching plans where the course is eligible.

Minor publish is an author-attested, non-semantic correction. It keeps the current major course version and does not rebuild teaching plans, assessments, scenarios, learning checks, or learner content.

Restore version lets an admin copy a published version’s objectives back into the draft for review.

Choosing A Release

After the first publish, QAVRA shows a change summary and asks the author to choose Minor or Major.

Choose Minor only when the correction does not change what learners learn, practise, or are assessed on. You must confirm that statement before publishing.

Choose Major when the course scope, active objective set, learning sequence, or learning meaning changes. QAVRA requires Major when a draft adds or removes an objective, changes scope settings, or changes planner-relevant ordering.

Recommended Workflow

1. Open the course.
2. Review the current draft and published version.
3. Make and save the needed changes.
4. Select Publish changes.
5. Review the scope, objective, grouping, and order differences.
6. Choose Minor only for a non-semantic correction and confirm the attestation.
7. Choose Major for a learning-design change; wait for the new version’s delivery work to complete before treating it as ready.

Delivery Impact

New learners receive the active published version selected by the course, offering, marketplace listing, or launch setup.

Where a delivery path is pinned to a version, review the offering, LMS, marketplace, or launch configuration before assuming learners will receive the newest version.
