Use QAVRA MCP With ChatGPT
This guide shows how an admin can use ChatGPT with the QAVRA MCP connection to search approved knowledge, review courses, brainstorm structure improvements, draft updates, and save approved changes.
Before You Start
In QAVRA:
- Confirm you are an admin for the organization and course.
- Confirm the course exists in QAVRA.
- Confirm any relevant Knowledge Profile is approved and current.
- Enable external AI access only for Knowledge Profiles that should be available to ChatGPT.
- Confirm the course is connected to the right Knowledge Profile if the structure should be source-grounded.
In ChatGPT:
- Add the QAVRA MCP connection.
- Complete the QAVRA authorization flow.
- Start a new chat.
- Ask ChatGPT to list your QAVRA courses.
Workflow 1: Find A Course
Use this when you do not know the course ID.
List all of my courses in QAVRA.If there are many courses, narrow the list:
Find my QAVRA course with discovery in the title. You do not need the full title. A clear partial title is usually enough. If there are multiple matches, ChatGPT should ask you which course to use.
Workflow 2: Show The Current Structure
After you choose a course, ask:
Show me the course structure for B2B Discovery Call. You can also refer to the course you just selected:
Show me the structure for that course.ChatGPT should show the saved title, description, scope details, objective groups, objectives, and version context it received from QAVRA.
Workflow 3: Check Whether The Course Is Grounded
Use this when you want the structure reviewed against the course Knowledge Profile.
Review this course structure against its QAVRA Knowledge Profile. Tell me where the objectives are unsupported, too generic, duplicated, or missing source-grounded coverage.Follow-up prompts:
Which objectives are strongest and why?
Which objectives need better source grounding?
What is missing from the Knowledge Profile context?
What should stay out of scope?Workflow 4: Brainstorm Improvements
Use brainstorming before asking for a final draft.
What is missing from this course structure?Give me explore and deepen options for the current objectives. Explain which options improve coverage and which ones might expand scope too much.Which objectives are too broad, duplicated, or underdeveloped?Suggest improvements focused on enterprise sales teams, but keep the course within the current QAVRA scope.QAVRA returns the current course context, Knowledge Profile summary where available, and QAVRA structure guidance. ChatGPT then reasons in the conversation. These ideas are not saved.
Workflow 5: Draft A Better Structure Without Saving
When you are ready for a draft, be explicit:
Draft a clearer QAVRA course structure for this course using the current scope, Knowledge Profile, and QAVRA structure rules. Do not save it yet.If you want a specific style of draft:
Draft a revised structure with 4 groups and 3 to 5 objectives per group. Keep the objectives observable and practical. Do not save it yet.Review the draft carefully. Ask for changes in normal language:
Make group 2 more practical and remove anything that belongs in advanced negotiation.Keep the first group, merge groups 2 and 3, and add one objective about qualifying business impact.Workflow 6: Save An Approved Structure
Only approve the final draft when you want QAVRA changed.
Good approval prompts:
I approve this final structure. Save it to QAVRA.Save the latest draft structure to QAVRA exactly as shown.Avoid vague prompts when you are not ready:
Looks good.
Maybe use this.
Can you improve it?Those are discussion prompts, not approval prompts.
Workflow 7: Update Only The Title Or Description
Use this when you do not want the structure changed.
Rename this QAVRA course to Sales Discovery Fundamentals. Do not change the structure.Update the course description to: A practical course for B2B sales teams learning to run discovery calls. Do not change the title or structure.Update the course audience to enterprise account executives. Do not change objectives.ChatGPT should save only the course fields you approved.
Workflow 8: Search Approved Knowledge
Use this when you want ChatGPT to answer from approved QAVRA knowledge rather than general knowledge.
Search QAVRA for our discovery call qualification guidance.Answer using the approved QAVRA Knowledge Profile for sales enablement. What should a discovery call capture before proposal? If more than one Knowledge Profile is available, ChatGPT should choose the best match or ask you to pick one.
What Approval Means
Approval means you reviewed the proposed change in ChatGPT and want it saved to QAVRA.
Approval does not mean:
- The course is published.
- Learner content has been regenerated.
- Assessments are ready.
- Scenarios are ready.
- The course is available in marketplace.
- An offering or SCORM export has been updated.
After saving, review the course in QAVRA before delivery.
After ChatGPT Saves A Change
Go back to QAVRA and check:
- The course title, description, scope, and structure.
- Learner-facing content affected by the change.
- Scenario practice and tutor behavior.
- Assessment and evidence coverage.
- Whether a minor or major publish is needed.
- Offering, LMS, SCORM, or marketplace readiness.
Troubleshooting
If ChatGPT cannot find courses, confirm you authorized the right QAVRA account and have admin access.
If ChatGPT finds too many courses, use a more specific partial title.
If ChatGPT cannot use a Knowledge Profile, check external AI access and profile availability.
If a structure draft feels generic, ask ChatGPT to review the course Knowledge Profile first, then draft again.
If you only want one field changed, say exactly which field can change and which fields must stay unchanged.
