RTO Course Creation
Use this when you need an accredited VET course built from formal source requirements, such as a training.gov.au unit code.
When To Use This
Use the RTO course creation flow when the course structure must follow source requirements rather than a freeform blueprint.
Use a standard course blueprint when you are building a workplace course, internal enablement, onboarding, product training, or another non-accredited course.
Create An Accredited Course
- Open Dashboard > Courses.
- Choose Create course.
- Select Create Accredited VET Course.
- Choose the source registry, such as training.gov.au.
- Enter the unit code.
- Add the industry, workplace context, learner audience, and any relevant profiles.
- Fetch the source requirements.
- Review and edit the fetched requirements before publishing.
- Publish the course when the requirements, objectives, assessment plans, and checks are ready to generate.
What Is Different From Blueprints
Accredited courses are driven by requirement coverage. The structure is expected to stay aligned with the source unit, assessment requirements, foundation skills, and evidence expectations.
Blueprint courses are more flexible. You can generate, regroup, reorder, remove, duplicate, or lock objectives around a workplace outcome.
Review Before Delivery
After an accredited course is created, review:
- Requirement coverage.
- Assessment conditions.
- Evidence requirements.
- Foundation skills.
- Generated objective content.
- Assessment pack readiness.
- The learner-ready offering before launch or export.
If Something Looks Wrong
If the generated course does not reflect the unit requirements, review the fetched requirement sections before changing individual lessons.
If assessment coverage is weak, update the requirement and evidence setup before republishing or exporting assessment material.
